On December 16, 2025, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association announced the winners of the 2025 Science and Technology Progress Awards. The project "Development and Industrialization of Key Technologies for High-Quality Aluminum Master Alloy Preparation" by Lizhong Sitong Light Alloy Group Co., Ltd. was awarded the First Prize.

The China Nonferrous Metals Industry Science and Technology Award is a ministerial-level award jointly established by the Chinese Society for Nonferrous Metals and the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. Approved by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and registered with the Ministry of Science and Technology, it is the only nationwide science and technology award in the nonferrous metals industry, representing the highest scientific and technological honor in the sector.

The award-winning project focuses on addressing the urgent demand from China's high-end manufacturing sectors—particularly aerospace, new energy vehicles, and high-end electronics—for aluminum materials with extreme performance, homogeneity, and purity. The project's products have resolved the "bottleneck" issues (chokepoint problems) associated with traditional aluminum master alloys, achieving breakthroughs in key technologies. Widely applied in multiple high-end manufacturing fields both domestically and internationally, these products have significantly enhanced the comprehensive performance and reliability of high-end aluminum materials. This has effectively driven the upgrading of related industrial chains and created remarkable economic and social benefits.
